Update to 2.3 - F.A.Q & Troubleshooting

P r e m i s e

The software update from version 2.2 to version 2.3 is not mandatory but it is simply a security update. If you want to update your Diablo Cam to version 2.3 you can do it at anytime.
Security update can be done using the updating software available on the web site. Please use always the latest version available for donwload and remove the previous version from your windows.



1. How can I update my DiabloCam?

Needed Software:
You can do it using the upgrading software downloadable from www.diablocam.com
Follow the step by step the software instructions untill the end of updating procedure.
This page and the software may change real time so please make sure you always download the latest version on software from the official web site.

Needed Hardware:
Cas Interface 2
Cas Interface 2 +Plus
Cas Interface 3
Cas Interface 3 +Plus

No Twin Base is allowed.

Price:
The price for the update is 30 Euro

Method of payment :
Credit Card only such as Visa or Mastercard.

2. I need the "Activation Code" and I did not receive it.

There is no activation code needed. With the latest software release the CAM would be able to be updated without the activation code. The server will not ask for it anymore.



3. I get the message "No Internet Connection" but I am connected to the net.

This is becasue you are using an old version of the updating software.
You need to use the latest updating software version 1.0.1 or further available from our web site www.diablocam.com

IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU UNINSTALL THE OLD VERSION BEFORE INSTALLING THE NEW ONE!

4. I get the message "The server at the moment is not working".

If the message is "The server at the moment is not working" try again. It may be a busy situation.
Just for your knowledge you will be charged just 1 time, server will recognize the previous payment if done successfully.

5. I have tried to place the payment but the authorization has been refused by the Bank Web Site.

We are sorry but the payment process is through the secure server of Banca Sella so it is totally out of our control. If Banca Sella is not providing with the OK we cannot proceed with the update.
The accepted credit cards are: Mastercard and Visa.
There can be some unaccepted cards like Electron Series or Maestro series.
Again it is all regulated through the Banca Sella’s server and we cannot rely on a different source at present.
Please contact your issuing bank for further details if your credit card is not being accepted.

6. I have successfully made the payment but the Diablo CAM stopped along programming.

Do not worry. Start the updating procedure one more time and the problem will be solved. It may happen that the update may fail at the first attempt.
In this case you will not be charged.

7. I have successfully made the payment but along the update I get the "Operation error" message.

Do not worry. Try the update one more time like in step number 6 or if you still face the same problem please download the latest version of Cas Interface Studio from Duolabs web site www.duolabs.com in the download area.
Go to CAM programming menu and enter in Diablo Menu.
On the possible functions there is the "Format". This will automatically erase the Dataflash content.
Try to do the update one more time using the Update Software previously downloaded.
